An Elite horse by anybody's standards, LAGOS is the epitome of Warmblood quality and performance potential.
His immensely powerful physique, bold character and exuberant expression for life and competitive edge, win over many hearts.

PEDIGREE: Lagos descends in both sire and dam lines from the indomintable Ladykiller XX through Landgraf I (overall all time leading sire in German Warmblood breeding) and Larinero (Champion Holstein stallion of this time); in fact LAGOS carries his name three times in the first four generations of his pedigree.

Lagos' sire, Lindenberg is a full brother to Lady Weingard, who competed successfully at international level in Europe and was a World Equestrian in Rome. He has excelled as an Int. A show jumper, the SA Derby of 2006 being one of his many accolades. Lindenberg is fast proving himself as an outstanding Warmblood sire of talented show jumpers and dressage horses. Lagos' dam, the imported State Premium mare, Larinera descends from a line of State Premium mares, with both her mother and grandmother holding State Premium Status, stamping Lagos' dam line with three generations of State Premiumship!Larinera's first progeny to compete was Champion Warmblood mare at the Horse of the Year Show.

PERFORMANCE: with very limited exposure, LAGOS is the leading showjumper in his home country and has scored several championship titles across the border as he rises in rank. As a baby and at the time his first showing competition he was presented by Rogan Asken to win the Rising Star 4 year old at the SA Stud Book Challenge. He has since gone on to stand in the top 5 Galencia Derby Compleat Horse with minimal exposure. LAGOS has come second in the FEI World Show Jumping Challenge in his zone of African Countries to compete at the Finals in 2011. 
He is currently competing successfully at Open show jumping level in both Swaziland and South Africa. 
LAGOS is a hugely versatile stallion with incredible paces enabling him to compete successfully in Dressage. He has very limited exposure in the Dressage arena but has gone on to win many classes at Elementary Medium level including placing 2nd overall in his Zone in the FEI World Dressage Challenge 2012 at Elementary level.

PROGENY: LAGOS' oldest babies are now rising 8yo. They are consistently correct with fantastic paces and SPECTACULAR show jumping talent. His progeny are proving to be extremely competitive and without doubt proving to be have the WOW factor in the ring in Show jumping, Showing and Dressage! 

His top performing son Swazi-Lizkhar Land of Lagos owned by Carolyne Coetzee has gone on to place second in the Prestigious Young Horse Performance Series - 5 year old rankings in 2012 and to WIN the Young Horse Performance Series 6 year old title. As a 4 year old, Swazi-Lizkhar Land of Lagos held the Runner up Potential Dressage Horse at the Prestigious Presidents Cup Young Horse Series. LAGOS currently holds the RECORD price for a locally bred Warmblood Pony purchased – Swazi-Lizkhar Love of Lagos who is his top performing pony daughter. This incredible filly is described as a pony that will become the top performing pony in South Africa she oozes so much talent!
Lovinero a son of LAGOS won the Overall Supreme Champion as a foal and again the following year as a yearling judged against all other breeds, ages and sexes at the Prestigious Autumn Showing Show
